Randomness - Shopping - Valentine Swap

- I stopped in Bath and Body Works earlier today in search of these little cake stand candle holders I feel in love with. I first saw them on Kelley's From Sincerely, Kelley XOXO blog.

(( Guys if you must check her blog out she has the most amazing BBW candle collection I have seen and she seems like the sweetest person ever. Check her youtube also))

When I went into BBW's they did not have these on display, the lady was nice enough to hunt these last 2 down for me. They also only had the sweet shop collection candles in Minis so I picked up 4.

The total for everything was $44, With a $20 gift card + 20% off  + Free travel size product not pictured the total was $9.91. Not bad.

Next on my list are the Destination candles. The Paris candle OMG!! I cant wait to go back for that one.

 

Next stop was Sephora. I went in there with the intentions of returning something I bought but as usual I get so overwhelmed when I am in there since I want to just take everything home. But I told myself  NO! Just get a store credit and book it out of there before you got crazy. I did pick up my Birthday Gift from them. A small set from Makeup For Ever. I honestly didn't like the lipstick but hey its free! I also swatched these lipstick pencils from BITE. Lawd  those colors are gorgeous! and bright for the summer. I will be going back for a few.( sorry for the blurry swatches was in the middle of time sq when I took them.. Its insane out there with this super bowl going on)

 

 

Also Sephora will be releasing out in March the Patone color Wild Orchid collection. Which I am hoping to get my hands on all of them!

 

I did  a little shopping at TARGET yesterday with my younger brother and his wife. As you can see it looked like Valentines burst in this aisle. I went a little crazy in there Dollar spot section and picked up a few things from there sale section. Even found a popcorn maker for 5 bucks!! I will post pictures of that tomorrow.

 

I had a swap planned out with my friend Autumn from instagram. This girl always spoils me! I swear its like she really knows me. I absolutely loved everything she sent me.

The scarf is so pretty and light will be perfect for spring. Lush bath bomb and bubble bar! Stationary cards, Candie , Nail Decals, Contacts, a beautiful bracelet. and last but not least the Matte Palette I have been eyeing from TARTE!!1 this palette is so gorgeous I cant wait to use to.

I just received my GlossyBox today. really glossybox on the 31st of January. I don't even feel like reviewing you !

 

I found a job!! Thanks to my cousin . Its only a weekend job but its a start and there is a lot of opportunity for advancing.

Thoughtful Thursdays

- I usually blog in the middle of the night. I am currently not working ((searching)) so when I don't have a set schedule my sleep is all over the place. I need to get my sleep in control  and start blogging during the day.

 

- My twitter account was suspended with no warning email. I  made to post referring to the unjustified mandatory minimum sentencing the federal government has on low offense drug dealers. By mid afternoon my twitter was Suspended. I have emailed them twice asking why and I have not received a response. To my knowledge I did not break any rules.

By the way I feel strongly about this because my brother is facing a 15 year sentence for something very miniscule. Not only is there insufficient evidence. They absolutely go by hear say, I can walk in there and say any crazy thing and blame anything on someone at they are guilty. What fkin kind of system is this???

He has 2 children and a family that needs him. He made a mistake that I know he has learned from and already made 2 years in missing his children first everything, if things keep going down he will continue to miss everything. We were brought up with out a father figure and this is something my brother did not want for his children. My brother is a good man with a kind soul. Donated his kidney so my mom can have a healthier and longer life. Helped his neighbors and friends in any way possible. Is no where near a violent threat to any one. He just needs a chance not only for himself but for his children.

 

- I am up catching up to my pretty little liars . what is Mona up to?

 

- What happened this week to Being Mary Jane? They just didn't give a new episode with no warning.

 

- American Idol - Have been watching but still no favorite one yet.

 

- Heading to target today with my brother and sister in law. I will be hitting the dollar spot and trying out the new flan drink at Starbucks.

 

-  I strongly dislike my postman. I have 2 packages at the post office maybe even more that i don't know of. That says a notice was left which is major bull. The ladies at the post office are total bitches! . They will not check if you have any packaged unless you have a tracking code. With the exception of one sweet lady she goes above and beyond to help you some how.

 

- Manhattan has gone Superbowl Crazy! To be honest that huge slide in the middle of time square looks so fun!! Have any of my New Yorkers or visitors tried it?

 

- I am finding so many blogs on IG that I am falling in love with!! Will be adding them to the list soon

Loved he told blue she now has a gold sippy cup to drink from aka the Grammy award.

Macklmore I LOVE YOU!! I don't think I need to say  more .. I don't know the name of the girl that sings with him in that song but every time I hear her voice I get goose bumps.

 Queen Latifah marrying so many couples warmed my heart, it started off when goosebumps and ended in tears to see so many beautiful couples sharing their love.

Madonna .. No better way to close it than with another legend!

 

I really didn't get to see much after that performance since my DVR decided to not record the rest.

Sampler Village S.W.A.K. February 2014

Sampler Village is a Indie sample box, and by Indie I mean independent. All the samples in the box are made by Independent vendors. I love Sampler Village because it introduces me into products I will not find in my area. A lot of these products are mainly home based or small local stores in towns no where near my city. The box varies in prices from $25-$45 depending on the amount of samples for the month. They also have a Instagram and Twitter page. They are very active on their FB page and Interact with their customers which I love.

You will find all sorts of products in your box and every box is different. A few of the items you will get will vary from wax tarts, candles, lotions, bath bombs, lip balms, barrettes, beauty products, cards and many more different items. They all are great and of very good quality.

Every month is a different theme. This month it is S.W.A.K -Sealed with a kiss. Since Valentines is right around the corner this theme is perfect!

Here are the products that came in the February box.

 

First thing you see when you open the box is always a card with a cute print and the theme for the month. Its just saying thank you for your purchase and tells you about the mayor for the month.

 

In this box I received 2 bags (full of samples) one big envelope, and something wrapped in tissue paper.

 

 

In the tissue paper was these edibles!

The twizzler were just a bonus the Label was made by a company called Oliveitboutique. Cute Name! They make Personalized Gifts, Party Favors and Party Planning. Definitely check their site out.

 

Chummms is a seller on etsy (like most of the products are sold on Etsy) provided this nut mix- Nutz & Bolts. It was pretty good. A mix of coconut, Almonds, Peanuts, Sun Flower Seeds, Ginger, Cinnamon and Honey.. Great healthy snack.

 

In the big plastic envelope were all these cute handmade cards. From A-Penny-For-Your-Thoughts.

I have started to do the pen pal thing so these cute cards will come in handy.

 

 

The Gingerbread Cupboard-  When I first saw these I thought they were actual sugar cookies with vanilla frosting. These are actual Wax tarts , they are too cute! and smell amazing. They are in the scent Red Hot Cinnamon Cookie.

 

Heartofjoy- Cute Barrette that will be going to my niece

 

 

 

Earth Cookie Creations- Cute pegs with designs on them. They have some cute ones on their site. Great for crafting and party ideas.

 

ForGoodnessGrape.com - LipBlam in First Kiss - Such creative cute names. This will be going to my niece also

 

GoatieGirls.com - Goat Milk Soap and lotion in Sandalwood Vanilla. This smells Soooo Gooodd!! I will be keeping the lotion in my purse and using the soap very soon.

 

Jerseygirlscents.com -Vanilla Kisses Lip Butter. Pretty good and will come in handy for my chapped lips during this freezing cold weather.

 

 

Kandjsoy.com- Lavender Vanilla Lip balm. Smells good but the color is not very appealing. This one will also go to my niece since she loves chap sticks.

 

SoapCafe-Chocolate Soap. Seriously If I didn't read the sticker I would of bit into this soap. It smells and looks EXACTLY like chocolate.

 

I lost the information card for this little set, but it is just too cute. you can you the little cards as gift tags or any type of arts and crafts.

 

YunScentsTarts- Margarita Smells good more like cinnamon to me .

 

BunnyBubbles- Pillow Talk Silky deodorant- Smells real nice and soft. I never used powder deodorant. So their is a first time for everything.

 

A kingdom creation.com- Chocolate Kiss Lip Scrub. I like that it came with a little spoon so you don't have to dig your fingers into the little pot. Its looks like ground coffee but I honestly didn't like this much since it wasn't much of a scrub it was kind of rubbery.

 

ForTheLoveOfSubs.com- Sweet Sugar Body Butter. Smells GREAT!  Love how thick the consistency of this is. Just wish the sample was a little bigger.

Country Space Creations- Strawberry Champagne bath salts and Chocolate covered Strawberries Creamy Oil Wash.  The bath salt have a very sweet soft scent and the wash smells like bubble gum.

 

Eva Janae Naturals- Body Butter and Cocoa Shea lotion Bar.

I love lotion bars, Just have no Idea how to store them . Any suggestions?

They body butter has a great scent and is nice and thick

 

 

Savory Savers Wrappers- Bubbles and Kiss.  The kiss had a cute teddy bear with small hearts and the bubbles have a cute teddy couple kissing. These are great favors for a valentines party I am assuming they do all themes. These are good to keep in mind for a party or wedding.

 

All the items on this post can be found on the Sampler Village website. The price for this box was $30, which I don't think is bad for all these products

 that you can get multiple use out of most of them.

I was Bored and Stuck at home, So I started doing some early "spring" cleaning. I was going through all my makeup and samples that I thought I can get rid of or give away and realized I had way to many glossy boxes. I did not want to throw them away since those are the only good boxes that I can put to use to store things. So I decided to go on Instagram and see if I can find an idea on how to use them as storage and came across someones page from the UK who made them into little dressers. So I had a DIY project at home. These were the results.

 

 

 

Excuse the mess, but that's what happens when I attempt to get crafty. I ended up with 3 little dressers and still had boxes to make more.

 

Made BBQ ribs today and was extremely proud of the outcome. They were all gone within 20 mins

Had my eye on this Loreal collection for a few weeks now. Come to find out it is only available in the UK. Just my luck. Do I have any readers out in the UK that would like to do a swap?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!

 

Usually I would dread turning another year older. But this year and the rest to come I will embrace them all with a smile and a hug! I thank God for blessing me with another year of life! I have so much plan for this year and cant wait to see where I am heading. Resolution #1 has been doing this blogging and keeping up with it, and its going stronger by the day. Thank you to all my lovely reader who take their time out to read it. On that note.
