Ipsy May 2014

Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription bag. Each month you receive a makeup bag stuffed with great products to try out.

This months bag is a very pretty beige bag with leaf prints and the Ipsy logo printed on it.

 

 

Boo Boo Cover up Concealor $20 . This little tube is pretty pricey but it is totally worth it!! I love this! I was reading about it and saw it says it covers tattoos. Those that know me or seen my pictures know I have my arm tattooed. I tried this on it and it completely disappeared. This product also heals pimples and scars with all the amazing ingredients in it.

 

Coola Hang Ten Spf 50 Sunscreen- $12.99 for a full size. This is perfect for the hot summer days we are anxiously waiting on here in New York. At first I thought it was a foot lotion. After reading the instructions I figured it out. I like that it is non greasy since in the summer everyone tends to sweat and get oily.

 

Balanced Guru Hair Oil. $25  . I was looking to this product the most. I love hair oils and thought it would be great form me, but the Argan scent is just too strong and mixed with all the other scents it is just not appealing to me.

 

Avene Thremal Spring Water $18 for a full size. My 1 year old nephew absolutely loves this spray. It really refreshes him. So I will be saving it for him.

 

Pacifica Eyeshadow Duo $unkown. I like Pacifica products but these colors are just not for me.

 

With the concealer alone you already received twice worth what you paid for the bag. Ipsy is a great way to try good products for such a low price.

BirchBox May 2014

 

 

BirchBox is a monthly beauty subscription box. For $10 a month you can sample some great products every month.

This months theme is FREEWHEELING. I really like the print inside the box.

 

 

Sumbody -Salt Scrub Bonbon$13.50 for set of 3.  This really looks like a candy.. I like sea salt scrubs and the scent on this one is lavender which is another favorite. I thought it was a 1x use but the instruction says it should last up to 3 washes . Not bad. It smells like the lush ocean salt scrub. 

 

Votvio Candle in Azure Garden - Full size $12-$26 . I never thought of taking candles with me while traveling until I started receiving smalls ones in my sample boxes. This one is the perfect size. Its a real light floral scent. It smells real good and I am thinking of getting a full size. Another good thing about these small tin candles you can always reuse the tins.

 

Nexxus - Color Assure Pre wash Primer, Shampoo and Conditioner. Full size $12- $18.

I will not be using these sample. I honestly thing it is a waste when they send me hair products like this. 1. I have very long hair, the little sample size wont even wash half of it. 2. I need to use a hair product more than one time to see results.

 

 

CotZ Face Natural Skin Tone Full size $20 - Again such a small sample, but I have received this before so I know I have it stashed somewhere and will be able to try it out as soon as it starts getting sunny here in NY.

Pixi Shea Butter Lip Balm- In Coral Crush $8.  I really like this! It is a tinted balm that is very moisturizing. Its a real pretty summer color and the more you pile on the more pigmented it gets.

 

 

Also received a coupon for $25 purchase of $75 from Kate spade. Which I will be using for some sneakers or cute office supplies. Also a giveaway for supergoop so check that out

 

I think this birchbox was pretty decent. I will get good use out of everything except the shampoo set.

Thoughtful Thursdays Down

Sorry everyone. I have been having such a overwhelming week. There won't be any thoughtful Thursdays . So stressed I just need to sleep and those are the plans for the weekend

                        Scent Description: Transform your home into a tropical oasis with fresh pineapple and luscious mango layered atop warm vanilla for a tantalizing treat.

First Glance: Not sure what the picture is but it reminds me of a tropical island.

Very Bright and green.

The cover is not your typical solid lid. It has a very pretty hibiscus pattern on it.

Candle Description.

Wax is a Bright orange/yellow color. Very pretty.

 

Rating 3.5 out of 5.

 

When I first opened the candle and took a sniff I fell in love! I love scents with pineapple, lemons and limes in it. This candle smelled like a ripe juicy pineapple that you find those people selling on the road in the islands. I kind of wished it was edible would of took a huge bite out of it lol.

 

Now that disappointment :(  When lit the scent was horrible! It was a strong wax scent that you get from those cheap dollar store candles.  I was so sad with this because I was expecting the pineapple scent since it was so strong when it wasn't lit.  After a bit the pineapple scent started coming through but it mixed with that strong waxy scent and it wasn't appealing.

I turned It off  might light it later on tonight to see if there is a difference.

 

Not sure if I just received a Dub or that's just all of Pineapple palm candles.

Someone on IG told me why I just don't return the candles I am disappointed in. I usually order online since the online since the Bath and Body works near me are pretty far.

Its crazy that in New York we only have 2 Bath and Body Works. One in Manhattan  that is extremely small and the other in Brooklyn.

I know you will not see this because you have no idea how to use the internet lol. You still deserve to be showed love everywhere and anywhere it can be spread.  You have always been a mother before anything. Those that know you know your kids are your world and that's exactly why you deserve the world. I don't know how many times I can thank god for blessing me with such a amazing mother. Te Quiero Te Amp mi madre querida! Feliz Dia de las Madres.

First Glance: Cupcakes are a thing of the past Macarons have been all over the place lately.

I Myself have not had any yet but only heard good things about them.

(im going so off subject)

Picture is pretty pastel macarons stacked on each other.Very cute.

 

Lid: Has the Sweet shop sticker and patter.

( Please don't mind the tiny finger prints on it that belong to my 1yr old nephew)

The wax is a pretty soft pastel pink.

Ok I know I said Beach Cabana was amazing, but this Macaron Candle just beat it.

I was looking forward to the Sweet Shop Collection and am upset I didn't get a back up for this one or even the full collection.

The throw on this candle was pretty good. It did scent my whole room which was great. It was not a over powering scent just very noticeable.

It smelled like fresh warm cotton candy right out the spinning machine.

If this is what a Macaron actually smells like I want to live in one! :)

This is by far one of my favorite candle.

 

Any candles you guys may recommend?
